I had this dream recently: I was in a place where lots of people were going different places. This one lady had a backpack on her back. I went up to her to see if I could help her in some way, because she seemed to be needing it. There were sounds and movement coming from her backpack. I noticed that she had a baby tucked in there. I smelled the smell of poop. She was sanding in front of this door getting ready to board this fast moving train. I told her that I would help her change the baby’s diaper if she’d let me. She said she’d do it after she got on the train, but I told her that she needed to do it before getting on the train. As I told her, the baby began moving, causing the backpack to start slipping off of her back. Now, she had no choice but to listen to me, so I helped her lift off the backpack, and laid it down. I took the baby out of there and asked her if she had anything clean to lay the baby down on. She didn’t, so I managed to open the wrap that the baby was in, in such a way that she wouldn’t be lying on the dirty ground of this train station. As I opened up the wrap to clean the baby, I discovered a pacifier at her feet. I was going to take it out, and clean it too, but it recoiled up under her wrap. I didn’t let that stop me. I just saw that this pacifier was somehow attached to her. I asked the lady if she had a new diaper we could use. She didn’t, but said that she just cleaned the baby with this solution in a spray bottle. She told me not to use too much, and not to get it in the baby’s face. I thought that this was so weird. I also noticed that this baby was really tiny. I took the spray bottle and a cloth and began cleaning the baby off. I had to use a lot of the spray, so it was getting everywhere, but I just kept cleaning. I figured that if this was the only way to clean this baby off, I was going to get it all off. I also figured that the baby would dry off. Then I woke up.

Interpretation: The lady represents people through whom God is or has been birthing a ministry. The baby is the ministry. The train and station represent the transitions the ministry is moving in. The diaper and the need for changing it represents the cleansing process and the need for spiritual growth. Needing to change the diaper before boarding the train is telling us that we need to clean up some messes before moving on; getting rid of the old, in order to walk in the new. The one diaper represents the ministry not operating in the five fold ministry, but in only one. God wants ministry to be fully equipped with all of His giftings. The pacifier represents being comfortable with being pacified by the familiar. God desires that as His ministry matures in Him, we became comfortable with being uncomfortable. Having only one diaper, nothing to lay the baby on except what it was wrapped in, and the spray bottle as the only way to do the cleaning, represents that God asks us (just as He did to Moses when he stood at the Red Sea before crossing over) “What do you have in your hand ?” We use whatever He has given to us, (faithful in that, not despising small beginnings), and He will bring more as we are obedient to Him.
